Da Ani-Kami Kon 2014 was a nice little mostly gamers convention held in a San Mateo, Ca mall. It had a small artists ally, a couple little booths, and quite a bit of gaming TV's. They also held a cosplay contest on both days of which my sister and I both entered, as well as a couple gaming tournaments. Overall, it was rather fun. I had the joy of being able to help out by lending my copy of Pokémon Puzzle League for the N64 to them for a contest.
day 1
The first day held a lot. We got up early and headed down the street from where we were staying, which wasn't a bad place. It was called the Knights Inn, XD had the air conditioning running the whole time. Anyways, we actually got there kinda early. People were still setting up and everything, so we walked around and watched people set up and sat down for a bit, then the cosplayers started showing up.
It got a lot more crowded than I thought it would, but still wasn't too terribly bad for such a small venue.
During day 1, we also competed in the Super Smash Bros Melee tournament, and the Pokémon Puzzle league tournament. Hopefully I will get video's of those up soon. The first cosplay contest was also that day and we entered as a group, but sadly didn't win anything in any of our contests. We ended out our day with a nice dinner at Home Town Buffet which was thankfully right next to the mall.
day 2
Day 2 was nice and simple. We had to check out of The Knight's Inn by 11 am, and thankfully our mother and grandma were able to pick us up and take us to the venue. Since they were there, we were able to actually get some pictures from that days cosplay contest.
These were some of the contestants for day two's cosplay contest. It looked like everyone had a lot of fun, and with that being a short day, we didn't get too many pictures. We just wanted to go home after about half the day. But we still had lots of fun seeing the cosplayers and playing the video games. I would love to see this again.
